As promised AT&T has activated MMS for the iPhone in the US today, however users will notice that the AT&T 5.5 Carrier update requires the still buggy iPhone OS 3.1 Firmware, which for many is a deal breaker considering the possibility of losing contacts and use of email among other issues. Well you can still manually get the carrier file without updating to 3.1, but it requires a few more steps.
