AT&T announced today on its Facebook page that the update for MMS on the iPhone would be available “late morning” Pacific Time on Friday the 25th. The new carrier file will be available to download via iTunes.

Numerous iPhone users have reported recieving text messages stating that AT&T’s “View My Message” annoyance for receiving multimedia text messages will be deactivated and accounts are being prepared for true MMS activation on September 25th as promised.
